Louise Costello

Louise Costello was born April 17, 1938, the daughter of Clem and Elizabeth Klocke. She passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015, at her daughters home in Blaine, Minnesota, at the age of seventy-seven.
Louise grew up on a farm near Dedham, Iowa. She did babysitting and housekeeping for local families and helped care for her seven siblings still at home. On June 22, 1963, she was united in marriage to Earl Costello at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dedham, Iowa, and the couple was blessed with the birth of two children. They moved to Vail, Iowa, and she remained in Vail the remainder of her life.
Louise worked as a cook at the Vail location of the Arcadia-Vail Parochial School, a cook at Job Corps in Denison, and as a county home health aid. She enjoyed going to bingo with her friends, playing cards, making quilts for her family, crocheting, and socializing. She was also was a volunteer on the Ladies Circle at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Vail. Louise was a woman of great faith who believed strongly in the power of prayer. It was this faith and determination to live that helped her fight her 17 year battle with cancer.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; brother LeRoy; and sisters, Frances and Jessie. Survivors include: one son, Kevin; one daughter, Nancy Bustamante; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; twelve siblings: Maxine; Helen; Lorraine and her husband, Bill; Lambert and his wife, Donna; Jerry and his wife, Betty and Ronald and his wife, Joleen; Jim and his wife, Louann; Larry and his wife, Pat; Sharon and her husband, Eldon; Wayne and his wife, Carol; Donna and her husband, Ken; Marlene and her husband, Jim; many other relatives and friends.
