Pat Messenbrink

March 7, 1955 — March 21, 2014

Patricia Ann Messenbrink was born March 7, 1955, the daughter of Edwin and Velma Kluver Jacoby. She passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 59.
Pat was born in Denison, Iowa. She received her education in the Denison Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1973. During high school, she was a basketball ref and a baton twirler. After completing her education she was employed in Sioux City for one and a half years. On May 31, 1975, she was united in marriage to David Messenbrink in Denison, Iowa. She was employed at Denison Super Value and Farmland Foods. After rasing her children she went back to work at Alco and the Denison Aquatic Center. In 1995, the family moved to Omaha where Pat worked for Albertson’s for one and a half years, as a cashier and in customer service. She then went to work for Bil-Den Glass, for seventeen years.
Pat loved shopping, gardening, and constantly making home improvements to her home. She loved helping people through Customer Service and gave one hundred percent of herself. She also liked to read nonfiction and romance novels. She loved all those hobbies but to Pat family was everything. She would shop, watch movies, and play games and cards with her grandchildren. She often socialized with her family by having dinner with them. Even though Pat is gone, the love she gave for her family will never leave.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Dean and one sister, Diane. Survivors include her husband, David; her children, Mickelle and her husband, Zac; Justin and his wife, Yuliana; step-daughter, Linda and her husband, Mark; two grandchildren, Addison and Mickinlee; two step-grandchildren, Christan and Alina; two brothers, Duane and his wife, Merry; and Dennis and his wife, Ilene (Jake); other relatives and friends.
