Adylene Romero Aguilar

Adylene “Ady” Romero Aguilar was born on November 16, 2004, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Juan P. Romero and Patrisia (Aguilar Montiel) Aguilar de Romero. She attended school in Denison and graduated with the Class of 2023. She went on to earn her Associates of Arts Degree from WITCC in 2025 and was currently enrolled at the University of Northern Iowa, working toward her bachelor’s degree in Early Elementary Education.

During her school years, Ady was involved in large-group speech and choir. She was blessed with her daughter, Elenah Isabelle Portillo Romero, and cherished every moment spent teaching her the things she loved. Ady enjoyed painting, drawing, playing the piano, violin, and guitar, working puzzles, reading, watching Disney movies and crime shows, listening to music, journaling, singing, and especially spending time with her daughter.

Ady worked at Scooter’s, Fareway, and Imagination Station in Denison.

Ady passed away on November 16, 2025, her birthday, at the age of 21. She is survived by her mother, Patti Aguilar of Denison; her father, Juan P. Romero and Azucena of Kearney, NE; her siblings: Vanessa Romero Aguilar and her daughter, Ava, of Kearney, NE; Destiny Sarai Romero Aguilar of Denison; Adrian Romero Aguilar of Denison; and Koby Rosiles of Chicago, IL; her grandmother, Dora Montiel; her aunt and uncle, Gabby and Edy Castillo of Denison; and family friend, Santiago Ozuna.

Visitation with family greeting friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Huebner Funeral Home in Denison, with burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Denison. The family invites you to join them in wearing the color white in Adylene's memory.

Adylene “Ady” Romero Aguilar nació el 16 de noviembre de 2004 en Lexington, Nebraska, hija de Juan P. Romero y Patrisia (Aguilar Montiel) Aguilar de Romero. Asistió a las escuelas de Denison y se graduó con la Clase de 2023. Obtuvo su Título de Asociado en Artes (Associates of Arts Degree) en WITCC en 2025 y actualmente estaba inscrita en la Universidad de Northern Iowa, trabajando para obtener su Licenciatura en Educación Infantil Temprana (Bachelor’s Degree in Early Elementary Education).

Durante sus años escolares, Ady participó en competencias de oratoria de grupo grande y en el coro. Fue bendecida con su hija, Elenah Isabelle Portillo Romero, y atesoraba cada momento enseñándole las cosas que ella misma amaba. Ady disfrutaba pintar, dibujar, tocar el piano, violín y guitarra, resolver rompecabezas, leer, ver películas de Disney y series de crímenes, escuchar música, escribir en su diario, cantar y, sobre todo, pasar tiempo con su hija.

Ady falleció el 16 de noviembre de 2025, en su cumpleaños, a la edad de 21 años. Le sobreviven su madre, Patti Aguilar de Denison; su padre, Juan P. Romero y Azucena de Kearney, NE; sus hermanos: Vanessa Romero Aguilar y su hija Ava, de Kearney, NE; Destiny Sarai Romero Aguilar de Denison; Adrian Romero Aguilar de Denison; y Koby Rosiles de Chicago, IL; su abuela, Dora Montiel; su tía y tío, Gabby y Edy Castillo de Denison; y un amigo de la familia, Santiago Ozuna.

La visita con familiares y amigos se llevará a cabo de 11:00 a.m. a 2:30 p.m. el jueves 20 de noviembre de 2025 en Huebner Funeral Home en Denison, con el entierro a continuación a las 3:00 p.m. en el Cementerio Oakland en Denison. La familia les invita a acompañarlos vistiendo de color blanco en memoria de Adylene.
