Alan Jeremias Martinez was born on February 16, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, to Angel Vladimir Martinez and Maria Gorety Martinez Bracamontes. He attended school in Denison and graduated from Denison High School with the Class of 2014. Following graduation, he attended Iowa Western for one year before enrolling at ABC Trade School, where he studied to become an electrician. After four years of dedication, he proudly completed his training in 2026.
Alan worked for several years at Nelson Electric in Carroll and also part-time for JP Electric in Denison.
Alan was known for his easygoing nature—rarely upset, always positive, and with a calm, “chill” presence. He had a deep love for sports and was a devoted fan of the Dodgers and Raiders, and he also enjoyed watching WWE. In his free time, he liked playing games on his PlayStation and was a fan of Star Wars.
Alan enjoyed attending music concerts and listening to a wide variety of music—from Frank Sinatra to heavy metal, as well as rap and softer genres. He also had a creative side, enjoying freehand drawing and collecting art.
He especially loved his grandmother’s carne asada, pupusas, and hamburgers, and he took pride in grilling hamburgers himself. He cherished his beloved “roommate,” his dog Chewy. Alan also shared a special bond with his father, whom he affectionately called “Pops,” never “Dad.”
Alan passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Bergan Mercy in Omaha at the age of 31 years.
He is survived by his parents, Angel Martinez and Maria G. Martinez Bracamontes; his brother, Rafael (Karina Ibarra) Perez and their children, Gianna and Sophia; his brother, Louis Martinez; his sister, Ashley Martinez; his maternal grandparents, Isabel and Roque Ayala; his uncle, Carlos N. Martinez; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Visitation, with family greeting friends, will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Oakland Cemetery in Denison.
