Aldean Keairnes

June 12, 1948 — October 17, 2025

Aldean Ruth Keairnes was born on June 12, 1948, to Clarence and Betty (Reeser) Kraemer in Denison, Iowa. She grew up in the Arion area and graduated from Arion High School with the Class of 1966. Following her education, Aldean began her career at the Crawford County Home, where her compassion for others was evident early on.

On June 17, 1983, Aldean was united in marriage to John C. Keairnes at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Dow City. Together, they blended their families with their children: Michael, Jeff, Beth, Robert, and Crystal, and later welcomed a son, Donavan. The couple made their home in Dow City.

In September 1986, Aldean began working at WESCO Industries, where she served in various roles over the years. Her dedication and leadership led her to the position of supervisor of the Day Hab Department, a role she held until her well-deserved retirement in 2018. Even after retiring, Aldean continued to give of her time and energy, working part-time at the Good Samaritan Thrift Store.

Aldean had a caring and giving heart. She found joy in playing BINGO with the residents at WESCO and loved searching for treasures at garage sales. A true animal lover, she shared her home with many beloved dogs throughout her life. Above all, Aldean cherished time spent with her friends and family, creating lasting memories with those she loved most.

Aldean passed away at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the age of 77 years, four months and five days. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Keairnes.

She is survived by her six children: Mike (Kristine) Keairnes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jeff Keairnes of Dow City, Beth (Paul) Burja of Ames, Robert (Darcie) Boll of Dow City, Crystal Snavely of Emmetsburg, Donavan (Vanessa) Keairnes of Waunakee, Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Her wishes were to be cremated and no public services will be held.
