Joel Louis was born on November 15, 1985, the son of Alveus and Solange Saint Juste in Haiti. He later moved to America and worked as a line worker at Monogram Meats in Denison.

Joel loved cooking for his family and was a devoted Christian who faithfully watched church services on television each day. Twelve years ago, he was blessed with a daughter, Micalie, who brought great joy to his life. Joel was known as a kind, respectful, and hardworking young man who was dedicated to both his family and his work.

Due to complications related to diabetes, Joel passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Crawford County Memorial Hospital at the age of 40 years, six months, and eight days.

His memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Iglesia de Dios Betel Church in Denison, with inurnment to follow at Oakland Cemetery.
