Linda Lee Brink was born February 9, 1961, in Denison, Iowa, the daughter of John and Carol Allen Vore. She passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of fifty-eight.
Linda was baptized in Christ and grew up in the Catholic faith. She received her education in the Denison Community Schools and graduated from Denison High School with the class of 1979. She was united in marriage to Eddy Brink, June 23, 1993, and they were the parents of one son, Koty. She was employed at the Trio, Community Caf and EatMor, SleepMor, PlayMor in Denison where she worked mostly as a cook, but also as a server. Linda was also a custodian in the Mundt, Franck and Sextro building in uptown Denison.
She loved arts and crafts and fishing by herself or with friends. Linda enjoyed watching the Discovery channel and investigative detective reality shows. She was an excellent cook and will be remembered for her popcorn balls. Linda enjoyed socializing with family and friends and was always helpful toward others. She had a special place in her heart and was very fond of her dogs Abby and Skippy. In her younger days, she found pleasure in camping, mushroom hunting and was a rock hunter.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jim Vore; and two sisters, Debbie Muckey and Charlie Powell. Survivors include: her husband, Eddy Brink and one son, Koty Brink, both of Arion, Iowa; three sisters, Patty Krueger and her husband, Dennis of Schleswig, Iowa, Kathy Vore of Denison, Iowa, and Cindy Traufler and her husband, Dave of Watertown, South Dakota; one brother-in-law, John Powell; nieces: Sharon Irwin and her husband, Bob, Jaimie Tierney and her husband, Luke, Andi Olson and her husband, Ryan, Alexandra Traufler, Carol Ann Allen and her husband, Christopher and Tammie Quail and her husband, Conrad; nephews: Dylan Traufler and his wife,Makenzie, and Jimmy Lee Powell; other relatives and friends.
