Lynn Marie Dozler was born on September 27, 1956, the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Nemitz) Dozler, in Denison, Iowa. She was baptized and later confirmed her faith at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison. Lynn received her education at St. Rose through the eighth grade and graduated from Denison High School with the Class of 1974.
Following high school, Lynn began working for Midwest International. After the company closed, she attended Spencer School of Business, where she earned her degree as a legal secretary. She then relocated to Omaha, Nebraska, and began her career at Erickson Sederstrom as a legal secretary. She later joined Kiewit Corporation, where she spent the remainder of her career until retiring. Known for her dedication and exceptional organizational skills, Lynn often supported four to eight attorneys at a time.
Lynn was a faithful member of St. Cecilia Cathedral Catholic Parish in Omaha. She had a deep appreciation for rocks and minerals and built an extensive collection of rock spheres. She enjoyed traveling with friends to mines in search of precious stones and loved sharing her knowledge of the many different types of rocks she discovered.
A gifted crafter, Lynn's greatest passion was crocheting, a talent she learned from her Grandma Dozler. Her creations included lifelike plants, flowers, and cacti, as well as doilies, hot pads, and a variety of crocheted animals. Her remarkable craftsmanship led her to spend many years selling both her crocheted creations and rock collections at craft shows.
Lynn believed in embracing new challenges and exploring new interests throughout her life. Over the years, she dabbled in many hobbies, including stained glass and photography, and was often seen with one of her professional cameras, capturing the beauty of the world around her. She also enjoyed practicing tai chi and even took up fencing, always eager to learn something new and make the most of life's opportunities.
Lynn passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 69 years, nine months and 15 days. She was preceded in death by her parents.
