Paul Joseph Zeimen, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2023, at the age of 58, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love.
Paul was born on July 14, 1964, in Denison, IA, to Gilbert and Irma Zeimen. He attended Catholic school until his middle school years and then received his education from Denison public school. He continued his education at Western Iowa Tech Community College, where he earned his degree as a Journeyman Wireman, and later earned his Master Electrician license. Paul worked as a Union Electrician for 30 years, starting in 1993 and finishing his career with IBEW Local 347 as a Journeyman Wireman.
Paul was a man who loved the outdoors, spending his free time fishing, mushroom hunting, golfing, gardening, grilling, and engaging in other outdoor activities with his kids and grandkids. He was also an avid traveler and enjoyed going on family vacations, with Las Vegas being a yearly trip. Las Vegas had become a family tradition that began with his parents and was carried on by Paul and his family.
Aside from his love for the outdoors, Paul was a dedicated Kansas City Chiefs football fan from an early age. He never missed a game and would always root for his team with unwavering enthusiasm.
Paul will always be remembered for his outgoing and uplifting personality, infectious smile, and witty sense of humor. He had a way of making everyone around him feel seen and heard, offering words of wisdom and guidance that could help anyone. He had a genuine interest in the people around him and would go out of his way to help those in need. His kind and compassionate nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie, whom he married in 2000, and their three daughters, Keisha, Emily, and Jesse. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Channing, Bentley, Averiana, and Grayson, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Paul's memory will live on in the many lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and unforgettable sense of humor. His legacy of love, selflessness, and compassion will be carried on through the memories of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
As Paul would say "Que Sera, Que Sera."
Paul's family respectfully requests that gifts be in the form of memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
