Teresa Beazor was born on November 29, 1959, the daughter of George W. and Scenna M. (Terrell) Gorden in Denison, Iowa. Teresa received her education from Dow City- Arion and graduated with the Class of 1978.
Teresa’s career journey began when she opened her home to babysit for local families. Her compassion and commitment to the well-being of children led her to a transformative role at the Dow City Cemetery where she meticulously mowed the grounds. Shortly after that, she began working at the sale barn, sorting cattle for 16 ½ years.
On March 1, 2008 Teresa married Dave Beazor at the Brasel Building in Dow City. At that time, she and Dave moved to Wall Lake where she started Gramma’s Daycare. She continued to provide childcare for the next seven years until her health challenges prompted her to retire.
Teresa had a profound love for horseback riding and trail riding, moments that filled her with joy and adventure. Her greatest legacy, however, lies in her deep affection for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they were her pride and the source of her strength, invigorating her with purpose and joy throughout her life. Additionally, her adventurous nature led her to explore every corner of the United States, fulfilling her dream of visiting all 50 states throughout her lifetime.
Teresa passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the Denison Care Center, having attained the age of 64 years, eight months and 22 days.
