Rita Nissen

Rita Ellen Nissen was born August 16, 1951, the daughter of Harold and Margery Heffernan Fink. She died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of fifty-nine.
From January 1970 until March 1996 she worked at Farmland Foods. She worked other part-time jobs and also went on to continue her education for a couple years. She then began working at Ten Point Construction in March 1998 until 2011.
She enjoyed her horses, barrel racing for many years, trail riding, travels to Mexico with friends, and tubing down the river. One memorable trip was to Ireland.
Rita was preceded in death by her mother, Margery; her husband, Darrel; one brother, David; her maternal grandparents, Margaret and Dan; and her paternal grandparents, Gene and Mildred. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Matthew and his wife, Sarah, and one granddaughter, Kynlee; and Douglas and special friend, Sarah; her father, Harold; three brothers: Dennis and special friend, Sherry; Ed and his wife, Carol; Kevin and his wife, Beverly; one sister, Mary Jane and her husband, Ron; one sister-in-law, Betty; eight nieces; five nephews; many other relatives and friends.
