Don Littleton

Donald Rex Littleton was born July 27, 1948, the son of Rex and Irene Andresen Littleton. He died Friday, April 30, 2010, at his home in Denison, Iowa, at the age of sixty-one.
Don was born in Denison, Iowa. He received his education at the Denison Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1966. After completing his education he entered the United States Navy on February 2, 1967, serving in Vietnam. He received an honorable discharge November 5, 1970, having been decorated with a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze star, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea) and Meritorious Unit Commendation.
On August 5, 2000, Don was united in marriage to Debra Kreikemeier. The couple made their home in Denison. Don worked as an auto mechanic and owned Easy Street Repair for many years until going to work for OReilly Auto Parts where he was assistant manager. He was employed there until the time of his death.
His favorite pastime was riding his Harley with his wife, Deb. He also enjoyed gardening, yard work, NASCAR racing and going with Deb to their "special" place in Colorado.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; and grandson, Peyton Kreikemeier. Survivors include his wife, Deb of Denison; three daughters: Julie Kesterson and her husband, Bob of Harlan; Michelle Shumate and her husband, Rick of Avoca; and Randi Littleton of Audobon; two stepsons: Jeff Kreikemeier and his wife, Ann, and Justin Kreikemeier all of Omaha; ten grandchildren: Austin, Lucas, Tucker, Samantha, Shelby K., Shelby J., Caitlyn, Cora, Dani and Randy; one brother, Dennis Littleton and his wife, Mary Ann of West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Deanna McCullough and her husband, Tom of Vail; one sister-in-law, Diana Maulsby and her husband, Mark of Denison; many other relatives and friends.
