Kenneth Hoemann

Kenneth Burdette Hoemann was born April 19, 1924 at Sutherland , Iowa, the son of Herman and Winifred Breyfogle Hoemann. He died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison,at the age of 85.

While living in OBrien County, he lived on the farm with his parents. In 1938 the family moved to a farm south of Denison in Crawford County. Ken continued his education through the eighth grade in a one room school. He continued to work on the family farm. Ken did spend a short time in the Armed Services and received a medical discharge. He returned and continued to work on the family farm.
On September 11, 1951 Ken was united in marriage to Madonna at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. They made their home for a short time on the family farm. Ken and Donna Mae moved and continued to farm in the Vail, Iowa and Manilla areas and later they moved to Denison where he became and employee at IBP. The couple was blessed with three children Earl, Mae, and Donna Marie. There are two grand children, Angie and Patrick and four great-grandchildren Shatana, Zoey, Tyler and Donavan. Ken Enjoyed watching western movies and football.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Madonna; two sisters, Margaret and Dorothy; one brother, George; one brother-in-law, Leo; father-in-law and mother-in-law. Survivors include his children Earl, Mae, and Donna Marie; one sister, Bonnie; brother-in-law, Harold; sister-in-law, Joan; one brother Don and his wife, Fola; sister-in-law Marian; sister-in-law, Theresa and her husband, Wes; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
