Deepest sympathy to her family.
Marlys was a very special sister to me. We enjoyed lots of special times together. May you rest in peace. Love you Karla
Marlys was a very special lady to me. Had done her hair for years, also was the nurse when my son was born. Nursing was definitely her field. My sympathy and prayers goes out to her family.
Neighbors for many, many years! Our prayers to the family! Roger and Val Reimers
Marlys was head of OB in 1978 when our son, Elliott, was born. That particular day all the labor rooms were occupied and there was a lineup to get into delivery. She assigned me to a fresh-out-of-nurses-training gal. "Keep an eye on her," Marlys told the newbie, "third-timers can go anytime." After the nurse did an exam she walked up to Marlys and shrugged. "I don't see anything." I'll never forget Marlys snapping on a fresh glove and saying, "Honey, sometimes completely ready to go looks like nothing. Let's have a look!" Trust me, I felt that all the way up to my tonsils. She then marched over to a red wall phone and punched in a short number: "Dr. Tan Creti, this is Marlys, I've got Renee Miller in here and she's ready to go. No, you don't have time to go to the Dairy Queen!"
One of a kind she was. Our sympathy and prayers to Lisa, Gary and Sam.
Renee and Butch Miller
